Question Number: 15047Law 1- The Field 3/26/2007RE: Competive High School Trolex Smithers of Buffalo, NY USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 15033 in my last question(#15033) you did not answer my question. I asked what the demintions of a soccer feild are. you did not give me the dementions, you just tell me its in the NFHS rule book, then when i try to look it up on google they never give you a straight answer. So im asking again, what are the dementions of a high school soccer feild????????? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer I have no idea what you read, this is what we answered. That is the answer. It isn't like gridiron football or basketball where the field must be a specific dimension, it can vary according to the space available.
Question Number: 15033 Law 1- The Field 3/23/2007 RE: Cmpetive High School
Trolex Smithers of Buffalo, New York USA asks...what is the dimensions of a soccer feild? (highs school, pro etc.) like how long is it, and how wide?????
Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller Depends. This is layed out in the NFHS Rule Book. There are specific lengths and width requierments.
Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer US High School rule 1 recommends for junior high 100x55 yards and for high school 110x65 yards. For an international match the Laws of the Game recommend a length from 100 m to 110 m and a width of from 64 m to 75 m. Norman field dimensions are 90-120 m long and 45 to 90 m wide and the ground must be a rectangle.
