How many flags are compulsory on the fooball field (ie corner flags and halfway flags)?

Four. Each must be placed on a corner, and all corners must have flags. The flags must be a minimum of 5 feet high.

You may have 2 non-compulsory flags 1 yard off the pitch on either side of the field directly extended from the halfway line. These are not required, and rarely used. If used, these flags must also be a minimum of 5 feet high.
