Question Number: 15257

Character, Attitude and Control 4/23/2007

RE: All Adult

Chris of Albuquerque, NM United States asks...

This question is a follow up to question 15231

Mr. Pearl has already had his bitchy little rant, your responses were as eloquently put as they always are. I'd stake my recent upgrade to USSF 7 that he's most likely a disgruntled Watford supporter and does not want to go gently into that good night called relegation like his worthless squad. He claims to have taken in hundreds of professional level matches and is an expert consumer of such as a result. OK. Well I've witnessed my hair being cut by the barber multiple hundreds of times too. I guess I'll open up my own shop and make a mint! I've watched countless hundreds of hours of gridiron American pointy football. I guess I can now go coach the sport with even more aplomb that the Indianapolis Colts or the New England Patriots. And my arse is also parsley. People like this are the very incarnation of everything horrendous about this sport that has nothing to do with the players, but rather the spectators. If anybody should receive a sin bin, it ought to be this preposterous codger. If he hates it so much, let him stop watching. This is the kind of guy that probably thought the likes of Pierluigi Collina and Graham Poll were rubbish. Enough of him!

And now my rant is done!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion whether we agree or disagree . It does highlight the adversarial role referees have with others in the soccer world rather than communicate seriously with an intent to make things better instead we snipe at each other wondering who t looks more foolish. As much as it pains me there are referee performances at elite level that leave me with indigestion but so too at the grass roots level because when not a referee I am first and foremost a fan, parent, coach or player and although I respect the position of refere because of MY experiances it is not a crime to dislike what you see be it real or imagined. Mr Pearl is to be at least commended for signing his name and standing up for his viewpoint if not lauded for his support of the referee.

This may or may not make sense so I apologize ahead of time
Chris have you thrown out those puny whistles yet?
Figured out the ten yard wall thing and backing up past midfield on those long goal kicks?
And that look see at angle still keeping those feet moving?
Do I have the right Chris or am I whistling in the dark here?
Cheers
