Question Number: 16257Law 1- The Field 8/9/2007RE: Rec Under 11 Stephen Sooter of Berryville, Ar US asks...What should the official size goal be for u12 and under? I have read different books and looked at organizations and everyone is different. Do you feel that the 6 x 18 goal is good for U-8 to U-12? Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller You need to look at the league policies on this. This should be written and documented somewhere. Ask the league rep for the information.

The distance from the crossbar to the floor should be enough that the average player can jump and get a hand just above it. Of course my logical opinion is usually flawed when looked at by others but I am unanimous in that opinion...
Regards,
