Question Number: 16573

League Specific 9/6/2007

RE: High School

Dave Eberle of Clarkston, WA USA asks...

Should I be concerned about seeing a high number of high school players appearing on a roster?

One high school team recently showed up with 26 players on their roster. The other team had 17. The team with 26 won by a large margin.

I checked the '07-08 NFHS Rules Book. I could not find any maximum number ruling.

Thank you for all your efforts in improving soccer.

Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer

No, not a concern -- they can put the whole student body on the team and all of them can play. even if they forget to list one on the roster his name can be added later. Substitutions are limited to eleven at a time though.

Regards,

As referee Fleischer pointed out, there is no max. Not a concern for you at all.
