In high school soccer, for a penalty shot, if the pk kicker doesn't do a fluid motion kick does he get another try for a penalty kick?

NFHS Soccer Rule 14, Art 4. states, in part: Once the kicker starts his/her approach toward the ball, he/she may not interrupt his/her movement. Failure to kick the ball as specified shall result in a rekick.

So, the answer you seek is yes. Go figure?? According to that you can cheat AND have another try. Oh Well.

Hi Mary, I must bow to the NFHS rule that says so but it is contary to actual FIFA law. Either we could caution for USB for delay of the restart ansd restart the pk proceedure or allow the kick to continue and retake if it scores or award an INDFK out if it does not!

Yes in NFHS games. If the kicker stops his movement, then it is a rekick.
