Question Number: 17236Kicks From The Penalty mark 10/10/2007RE: Under 14 me of new york, new york USA asks...can you change goalys in the middle of a shootouts.
Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol During the Kicks From The Penalty Mark to determine a winner of a game, the goalkeeper may be chosen from any of the players on the field. The team could change keepers for every shot if they so wished. That would get tiresome though, so I hope they'd be content with their first or second change of keepers.
A substitute can come off the bench to replace an injured keeper, if the team has not used up its maximum number of allowed substitutions. This is the only substitution that is allowed after the game has ended.
