Question Number: 17371Kicks From The Penalty mark 10/17/2007RE: ALL Jack of Montreal, QC Canada asks...In a shootout (kicks from the mark) little Johnny kicks and is stopped by the goalie. The ref however decides the goalie came off his line early and unfairly stopped it, and awards a re-shot. Does little Johnny have to take the re-shot, or can can the coach make little Jack take it. Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson No Jack is fine as long as Jack is lawfully entiltled! Cheers

The redo is a fresh brand new kick just like any other. Johnny or any other eligible player on his team that has not yet taken a kick can step up to the mark.
