Question Number: 18105Kicks From The Penalty mark 12/10/2007RE: Competitive Under 13 Avery Haskell of Overland Park, KS USA asks...In a penalty shootout a player is taking a kick with the wind against him. The kick hits the crossbar, redirects itself in the air towards the 6yd box and the furious wind brings it back towards the goal and it enters the goal without ever touching the ground after the initial kick. Is this a goal? Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney Is it that windy up in Kansas? Oh, wait, I remember they have tornados and dust devils. Yes, it's a goal.
