What if the goalie punts the ball from his penalty area to the opponent's area, and the ball goes out, without being touched by any other player; would the defending team get a goal kick or indirect free kick ?

It's a goal kick - why would it be an indirect?

Let's see, according to Law 16, if the ball leaves the field over the goal line, last touched by a player from the opposite goal, then it is a goal kick.
