This question is a follow up to question 18221

Chuck,

You have been speed reading again....if a ball is last touched by the opposition the keeper is well within his rights to pick the ball up. I have NO idea where you got that decision on that question from.

In the US, if the ball touches any other player before the keeper gets to it, the keeper may handle it legally. Apparantly, in most other areas of the world this is not true.
