RE: AYSO Under 13

This question is a follow up to question 18695

I do the same thing the pros are saying [18695] here but I was taught (I can't remember where) to point towards the centerline. I also point to the centerline (level hand like a goal kick) when a goal is scored but no whistle of course. At half, end of game, and goal scored I also look over at my AR before I jog towards the center. Is this not ok? I am doing a lot of AYSO games now and want to doing things correctly.
