Question Number: 19750Kicks From The Penalty mark 8/15/2008RE: competitive Under 14 jhobe of san diego, ca usa asks...If a game is tied at the end of regulation or extra time, and goes to penalty kicks, can I change goal keepers after the other team has kicked 1 (or more) of their penalty kicks (I know the substitute GK has to have been on the field at the end of regulation time or extra time). Thanks! Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney As long as the player who will exchange places with the goalkeeper is on the field, then it is no problem. If the goalkeeper becomes injured and cannot continue after the kicks have begun, and if there is a substitution left to the team (in a restricted substitution game), then the goalkeeper may be replaced/subbed for at that point.
