Question Number: 19755Law 14 - Penalty kick 8/17/2008RE: Comp Other Charlie of yuba city, ca usa asks...Player takes a PK kick without waiting for referee whistle, and missed a goal, Kicker gets a yellow card, does that player get a rekick or does this becomes a goal kick? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer If the penalty kick is taken before the referee signals, the kicker should be warned and, upon repetition, cautioned for unsporting behavior. The kick must be retaken, regardless of the outcome of the first kick. Regards,
