Glenn of Newport Beach, CA USA asks...

During a goal kick, the team taking the goal kick is permitted to have its players remain within the 18-yeard box if desired correct? Of course, they cannot touch the kicked ball until it travels outside the 18-yard box.

Hi Glenn,
all I can say is yes and yes this is true for ANY defending free kick coming out of the penalty area!
