RE: Adult

calixto of warminster, pennsylavania usa asks...

Hi I am interested in becoming a referee for adult soccer leauge. And I was woundering where I have to go and what I have to do to get certified for this? If you could help me with this that would be great. I have been searching but coming up empty handed. Thanks in advance.

Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino

I would call you local adult league and ask for the referee assignor who should be able to direct you. I'm certain that if you go to the Pennsylvania youth soccer website you will be able to find courses to become a certified USSF referee.

Answer provided by Referee Steve Montanino

See Ref Contarino's answer... then you should know that it is often difficult to receive assignments in the adult game right when you start. Though, I've seen it before and it is certainly a possibility.

Usually, you will be assigned low-level youth matches as a first year referee.
