Question Number: 21116League Specific 4/10/2009RE: League Other Jim Law of W. Berlin, New Jersey USA asks...I think I read where a sponsor cannot have its name on a youth uniform. Did I read that right? Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol That would be a league rule. A few years back, the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (state league) required teams to modify their club uniform with an emblem of a pizza chain that sponsored the league.

View Referee Gary Voshol profileAnswer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Fifa has certain legal precedents about what can be printed where. In youth associations the guidelines are less restrictive but association bylaws require reading before the jersey gets printed up is only prudent! I recall the advertisers were allowed an arm logo or a heart patch of a certain size but not totally across the back or frontin our travel league but that was a choice not a binding law of soccer
