U8Girls - For this age group are there throw ins or kick ins?

That will depend on your local rules. As a preference, I certainly hope it would be throw-ins. U8 is a great time for them to learn how to do it correctly. Some youth leagues allow a re-do on the first bad throw-in just to emphasize the learning.

Contact your local association. I hope they are not using kick ins which are never used in real soccer. This is a good age group to learn throw-ins
