Question Number: 22824

League Specific 2/15/2010

RE: Competive College

Mohammad of Amman, Jordan asks...

If the team walked out of the league what is happening to all previous findings note that walked out of the season return .

Answer provided by Referee Gene Nagy

Mohammad, please note that this Asktheref.com site is indeed made up of referees. Now referees do not make decisions about the business of leagues. As a matter of fact, we do not even decide, who won the game! We just make out a game report in which the score is found.

The answer to your question will be found only by contacting the relevant league. And for that matter, each league will have different rules regarding matters of this nature.

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi Mohammad
Having been also involved in the past in administration of leagues I would suspect that all previous results involving this team would be canceled and no points awarded for any match involving that team. In addition some sanction would be taken against the team such as a fine and/or no return for a number of seasons.
As Referee Nagy states the correct answer will be found by contacting the relevant league who will have a specific rule for this.
