Question Number: 22893Law 16 - Goal Kick 3/4/2010RE: Under 17 Dave of des moines, ia us asks...Wind blows goal kick into own goal after exiting PA (assumed) with no other touches. Yes, it does happen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYJttBJq6lw&feature=topvideos No goal right? Restart with corner kick? Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol Correct, it's a corner kick. There is some discussion on a forum that perhaps the ball touched the keeper's knee, countered with the opinion that if that happened it was after the ball was across the line. Myself, I don't think the video has high enough resolution to see either clearly.
We have more discussion of this in Q#22891.

I can't see any contact here by any other player. Correct decision is a corner kick as a team cannot score on itself directly from a goal kick or any restart.
