RE: AYSO Rec Under 12

Mike S of Chino Hills, CA USA asks...

This question is a follow up to question 23018

I don't have a follow-up question. I just want to thank everyone on this panel for their advice. I know that I have asked many, many questions on this site. I'm probably one of the more book-smart refs in my region.

But I did not grow up playing soccer/football, and ref'ing does not come naturally to me. I do tend to overthink, and create problems for myself. This site has helped me a great deal with foul recognition. Again, I am grateful for all the advice.

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi Referee Mike

Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino

Ref Mike, thank you for the kind words. I like you never played soccer having played baseball, football, basketball, track, and swimming. When I first certified, I was a nightmare. Like you, I asked many questions on this site and it helped me a great deal.
