Question Number: 23806League Specific 8/21/2010RE: amature Adult alan of glasgow, britain asks...i got a 6 game ban at the end of the season last year, already served 3,my team played a friendly during the week which i was told i couldny play in because of my suspension, surely this should count as 1 of my suspensions...i might add i am not proud of being suspended.... Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Alan Only competitive games count against match bans in the competition in which the ban relates. If the friendly was 'sanctioned' by the SFA your club may not want to play players that are suspended for reasons such as referee appointments, seeking further permissions for friendlies from the SFA.
