In a penalty shootout, if the goalkeeper pushes a penalty on to the post, is he allowed to make a second attempt at catching the ball?

Yes. The keeper may continue to defend the goal until the kick is completed.

Yes of course he can continue to try to stop the ball entering the goal by making continued attempts to stop the ball.

Yes, his job is to stop the ball from going into the net,
