Question Number: 24061Law 18 - Common Sense 10/2/2010RE: youth rec Under 7 Clay of Pensacola, Fl 32514 asks...Played an opposing team. every time they had the ball the coach instructed his team to intentionally kick the ball out of bounds. Fair, legal, when i played in high school our coach called it intentional chalking. Any comments.

Nothing can be done about this. It is legal although personally I can't see the point in it. Also it is not in keeping with the spirit of the game nor is it any fun for the team that is doing it.
If I was involved I would be speaking to the coach to understand what is the purpose of this.

But there is no offense in deliberately kicking the ball out.
