Question Number: 24134League Specific 10/11/2010RE: Adult Naam of Santa Barbara, CA US asks...If a referee uses the 'F' word during a conversation with a youth player. What is the proper way to deal with this. Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney I don't know exactly. Normally, a written report should be made to the referee assignor and to the league. Give full details, and any verifiable facts. This would include the name of the player to whom this was said, any witnesses who heard it, the name of the referee, the date, time, location and field # of the game, and the teams playing. Beyond that, such incidents are investigated by whichever authority in your state is responsible for dealing with them.
