Question Number: 24300

League Specific 11/9/2010

RE: REC Under 11

Richard Chirco of staten Island , NY usa asks...

If a false protest is filed against you, what is my recourse if any? I am requesting a letter of apology and the other coach to be suspended for one game.

Is there any precedent?

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi Richard
Not a refereeing question but one that needs to be addressed to the competition administrators who dealt with and managed the protest.

This is a site that helps referees, players, coaches and fans with questions about the game and how the Laws apply. We can't possibly know the ins and outs of all the administrative bodies who deal with league administrative and disciplinary issues - sorry.

Your league has administrative rules - I would look to those for your answers.
