Question Number: 24365Law 15 - Throw In 11/22/2010RE: Rec. Under 13 Jon of Atlanta, Georgia United States asks...How far away does the opposing team have to be from the thrower on a throw in? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Jon
All opponents must stand no less than 2 yards away from the point at which the throw-in is taken.
Opponents are also prohibited from unfairly distracting, interfering with, or impeding a player who is putting the ball back into play on a throw-in and that can be done outside the 2 yards exclusion zone.
