Question Number: 24428Kicks From The Penalty mark 12/16/2010RE: competitive Under 19 OSMAN IMORO of Cape Coast, central region Ghana asks...This question is a follow up to question 22228 if a referee cautions a player for feinting to kick the ball during a penalty kick, how does he restart play. thank you Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol The restart is the same as for any other offense by the taker of the penalty kick. If the kick scored, then it's a retake. If the kick did not score, then it is an indirect free kick to the opponents.

Otherwise, play restarts with an indirect free kick for the defender at the spot of the infringement. The kicker would be cautioned in either event.
