Question Number: 24488Other 1/16/2011RE: class 3 Other japhet kasililwa of rukwa, sumbawanga tanzania asks...This question is a follow up to question 1977 can i get ref denis wickham of san diego calfonia's e-mail adress? cause i'm aclass (2) referee and i would need some help from him. Answer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham Japhet: I am pleased that you would ask, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. My strong recommendation is that you find a mentor in Tanzania with whom you can discuss your matches, and who can give you advice and counsel on techniques you can incorporate into your personal style. One of the many who have helped me along my path from apprentice to journeyman referee was someone who was willing to watch my matches and tell me the truth about the things that I could do better. I'm now sure how they had the patience to spend so much time answering my seemingly endless questions. A patient mentor and and experienced assessor can help you become a better referee. Good luck.
