RE: youth under 15 premier football Under 16

pete munro of rayleigh, essex england asks...

can a sqauad youth player that has been off through an injury, play in the semi final of the league cup now he is fit, not having played in any earlier round?

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi Pete
Not a question for the referee to adjudicate on but the competition authority. In general if a player is registered and eligible to play in an earlier round there is usually no restriction on that player playing in later rounds such as a semi final and final.

Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol

You would have to check your league registration rules. Here in the US, a player is registered to a team for the seasonal year, and remains registered if she is injured. So when she is healed, she would be able to return to play on her team
