Question Number: 24525League Specific 1/24/2011RE: high school High School ryan of cumming, ga usa asks...My friend goes to a private school and is asking to play for my public high school team. It is his off season and wants to play, is there any rule saying he can do that?
thanks Answer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham While the national NFHS rules do not address player eligibility, your state high school federation may have a rule that prohibits this. Many impose serious sanctions against the school and the players.
Your school's athletic director should know if there is a way to obtain approval for your friend to play for a school he does not attend.
