There is a foul commited by the keeper at the edge of the box but outside the box.
Do you need to give sufficient time for the keeper to get back to the goal or can the other team play as quickly as desired?

Hi Mike
There is no requirement on the referee to allow the defenders including the goalkeeper to be in position for any free kick restart. So if a team want to take a QFK they should be allowed.

The defending team is entitled to no rights on a free kick, except not to be misled by something the referee does or says. Absent a compelling reason for the referee to hold up the kick (serious injury, to deal with misconduct), the kicking team is entitled to a quick free kick.

What has the attacking team done wrong? What infraction have they committed so they should be further disadvantaged by holding up play for the offending team to get set? The team committing the infraction has no rights and the referee should do nothing to prevent the team taking the free kick to do so quickly.
