Kicks From The Penalty mark 3/10/2011

During a penaly shoot out,the taker strikes the ball,the keeper saves,but the ball hits the inside of the post & goes in,does the goal stand,or is the ball considered dead after the keeper saves?

As described this would be a goal. The answer can be found in part of the wording of Law 14 and I quote
'' When a penalty kick is taken during the normal course of play, or time has been extended at half-time or full time to allow a penalty kick to be taken or retaken, a goal is awarded if, before passing between the goalposts and under the crossbar:
# the ball touches either or both of the goalposts and/or the crossbar and/or the goalkeeper
The referee decides when a penalty kick has been completed''
Where it would not be a goal in KFTPM is where the penalty taker touches the ball for a 2nd time or where the penalty kick is completed and the ball is deliberately kicked into the goal.

Goal. The kick does not end by the initial block by the keeper. The referee must decide when the momentum of the ball has been spent.

If the ball went into the net the keeper did not 'save' it. Unless the referee stopped play before the ball stopped moving, this is a goal
