I have an interesting question about the corner flag. If it is intentionally moved ( knocked over ) prior to taking the corner, what is the result.

I cannot find the consequence.

Hi Bob
The corner flag may not be removed or moved during the taking of a corner kick.
The referee should ensure that it is replaced or standing upright before allowing the kick to be taken.

The flag is not a sacred relic that may not be touched. If it is leaning to one side, a player may straighten it. No player, however, may remove it or bend an upright flag to one side. The referee should hold up play, warn the player, and then permit the kick to be taken. If repeated, the player would be cautioned.

If the referee allowed it, there will be no consequences. It should not be allowed as my fellow panelists point out but if a referee does allow it I can't imagine him then punishing the player in any manner
