Question Number: 25380League Specific 8/31/2011RE: Competitive Under 10 Leah of Thornton, ON Canada asks...Hi, In the area where I referee there are some differences for the mini rules in each region. I was wondering which rules take precedence. For example, if one league plays with the rule all free kicks are indirect and the other team plays with the rule that all free kicks are direct how do you decide what ruling to use? Thanks, Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino You go by the home team's league's rules so you need to learn all this before you show up to work the match.

The referee will appreciate that also as she will not want to award something that the conceding team was not aware of.
