Question Number: 25406League Specific 9/10/2011RE: Skilled for my age Under 14 Coby of Torquay, Victoia Australia asks...If are girl plays in both U13s and U15s if that girl plays over a number of games in under 15s is she then allowed to play in under 13s is shes like played the whole sesioin in under 15s Is that is the rule how many games is it when she can not play in under 13s Answer provided by Referee Jason Wright Hi Coby, This is up to the individual competition in question, and is not a question regarding the laws of the game - which is what this site will answer. Football Federation Victoria has all the competition regulations available on their website under the Competitions / Football drop-down menu. However, I would suggest contacting your team manager who should have the information, or can ask a representative from your club.

View Referee Jason Wright profileAnswer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Coby Unfortunately this is not a referee question and it can only be answered by the competition organisers / rules and and it varies throughout the world. Some countries including Ireland have limited the age groups for girl participation so that they must progress into organised women's/girl's only leagues rather than playing in mixed Underage games when they reach a certain age. Some League also limited the number of games that players can play in two separate Leagues. I note that Rule 2.3.4 of Football Federation Victoria's Rules states " A Player who is participating above his or her age group, will not be prevented from returning to play in his or her rightful age group unless that Player is suspended, except where other rules apply (ex Knockout Cup)"" . The key there is "where other rules apply" and that question has to be asked locally with the best source being your team manager/club secretary
