Question Number: 25439Law 16 - Goal Kick 9/16/2011RE: High School Joe of Louisville, KY US asks...During HS game, on a goal kick, player put ball down but then picked up to take to another spot on the line. CR told her to put the ball back to the origianl spot, stating that ball can't be moved once put down. I have never seen this call made. Is it correct? Thanks. Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Joe Unlike the Laws of the Game NFHS Rules 16.1.3 require that once the ball is placed, the ball cannot be moved from one spot to another.
