Question Number: 26101Law 15 - Throw In 3/26/2012RE: grade6 Under 17 THOMAS LIVINGSTON of glasgow, strathclyde scotland asks...what is the decision if a defender takes a throw in back to his goalkeeper who misses the ball ending up in the back of the net? Answer provided by Referee Jason Wright A team cannot score agaisnt themselves directly from a restart - and a Throw In cannot result in a goal at either end of the field. So if the keeper gets no touch on the ball at all, the restart would be a corner kick to the opponents.
