The Law on injuries was amended in 2010 with an exception made for this situation if two team mates receiving treatment for a collision. When two players from the same team get injured in a collision there is no requirement for both to leave the field of play for treatment. Many felt that the requirement to leave the FOP for treatment was unfair on the team and the Law was amended accordingly.
Neither is there a requirement for a player to leave the field of play for treatment when injured along with the goalkeeper.

Goalkeeper injured.
Goalkeeper and any other player (for either team) injured
Two players on the same team injured.
