Question Number: 27183League Specific 2/17/2013RE: Gold (div 1) Under 18 Kyle of Coquitlam, BC Canada asks...I have gotten 4 yellow cards this season. That includes the regular league season and the league cup. Am I suspended for next game? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Kyle Not a question for referees but for the competition organisers and the answer will be based on the competition rules. BC Soccer has advised it member associations that their rules should include various disciplinary sanctions. It gives examples and I quote one of them ''A youth player who accumulates three (3) cautions (yellow cards) within a period of one playing season shall be automatically suspended without hearing and without appeal from the player's following league or cup game, whichever comes first. An adult player must serve this suspension in the following game within the competition in which the cautions were earned.'' There is also a five card rule. Also timing can be an issue here with the delay of the suspension letter from the League's disciplinary body. So you need to ask the league administration if it is a 3 or a 5 card suspension rule and if it is 5 then you need to adjust your playing behaviour if you wish to play all the games rather than sit suspended on the sideline.
