Question Number: 27370League Specific 4/29/2013RE: competitive Adult noel of san pablo, ca usa asks...how much time do we have after kickoff before its considered a forfeit by the referee?
lets say the game is at 8am and we arrive ready with 7 players on the field 8:09 am whats the latest to arrive to be a forfeit? Answer provided by Referee Jason Wright Your local competition rules will state at what point a match is considered to be forfeit

It is usually covered by competition rules. If there are seven player available then play can start so that has a bearing on the decision.
I notice for example in the Cal South Rule book that it states '' Any team delaying the start of the scheduled game more than fifteen (15) minutes, without the sanction of the proper authority, shall forfeit the game to the opponent by a score of 1-0.''
If seven players were ready to play at 9 minutes after the designated start time then play in my opinion could start.
