Question Number: 27553The Fourth Official 6/24/2013RE: premier Professional ibrahim ishiaku of lokoja, kogi nigeria asks...This question is a follow up to question 2015 After inspecting players in the dressing room, should the reserves players linsence be with the reserve referee (4th official) or the club officials, if the linsence should be with the reserve (4th official) when is he to return it back to the club officials? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Ibrahim At FIFA level there is a meeting at which a full team list is provided to the referee and match commissioner. At that meeting each player provides the necessary identification such as passport etc along with licences etc. Once the list is agreed and verified which includes reserve players there is no need to retain licences and they remain with the players. At lower levels the team sheet and necessary licences are provided to the referee by a team officials. Once the details are checked by the referee the club official holds the licences.
