Question Number: 27708Law 4 - Players Equipment 8/30/2013RE: School co Ed team Under 17 Justine pitman of Franklin , Nh United States of America asks...I just got my nose pierced and my coed HIGH SCHOOL TEAM has a game in two days so it is way too early to take the piercing out. Can I cover it up with a small band aid? Or am I going to have to take it out!? Answer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham Justine: High school (NFHS) rules prohibit jewelry and do not allow for covering it with a band aid. If you want to play, you will need to remove it.

You probably heard a referee say, 'No jewelry' 50 or 100 times. Yet you chose this week to get your piercing. I'm sorry, it's your bad timing. You either have to take the piercing out, or you don't play.
