Question Number: 27792Law 10 - Method of Scoring 9/22/2013RE: Under 11 john of aliso viejo, ca. us asks...This question is a follow up to question 23362 Hello
if a ball is kicked and hits the goal post and comes back to the person who kicked it and he kicks it in for a score. is this a score ? It was not a PK it was a person trying to score a goal. The ref.said it was a double touch

It can only be a double touch infringement if it was from a kicked restart ie free kick, penalty kick, corner kick, goal kick or a kick off.
If it was in open play there is absolutely no way this could be a double touch and I would be extremely disappointed that a referee would get that call wrong.
