Question Number: 28296Law 16 - Goal Kick 3/31/2014Doug of Louisville, KY USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 28259 Surprised neither of you pointed out that a player cannot be offside on a goal kick. Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Doug Good point. When answering questions sometimes one makes assumptions or perhaps the obvious is not stated. This question was answered on the basis that it was framed that there was offside albeit trifling. We may amend it to make that point clear so there is no surprise.
