Question Number: 28566Kicks From The Penalty mark 6/29/2014Susan MacFarland of Pine Beach, NJ USA asks...Can a player who has left the game after a substitution take a kick in the shootout? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Susan No, that is not possible. Only players on the field of play at the end of extra time are eligible to take a kick.

View Referee Joe McHugh profileAnswer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham Not under the laws of the game. High school rules permit anyone on the roster to participate. But, TLOG limit eligibility to the players on the field at the end of the match (or off the field with permission for injury treatment/equipment fix).
