Question Number: 28651Law 10 - Method of Scoring 8/10/2014RE: Under 19 ShacharPollak of jerusalem, israel asks...can a goalkeeper drop the ball and shoot it will in the air (the ball doesn't touch the ground) and score a legit goal? Answer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham Yes. A goal can be scored from a keeper's punt of the ball. (It has happened a few times in professional play on very windy days.)
Note: some matches for U-littles have special local rules because they play on very short fields.

Yes a goalkeeper can score directly from a punt out of his hands or from the ground. Indeed if he can throw the ball that far a goal will be awarded there also.
