Question Number: 28968Law 11 - Offside 11/11/2014RE: Competitive High School Phillip Berg of Federal Way, WA USA asks...A player came from an offside position to retrieve a ball kicked from her own teammate. No one else touched the ball until she gathered it 10 yards in her own half. Offside? If so, where does the AR flag the offence? Answer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham Yes. If the player was in offside position when the ball was kicked, it doesn't matter where the player was located when she played the ball. The AR should remain even with the second last defender and raise the flag when the attacking team player touches the ball. The restart is where the attacking player was located when the ball originally was played by her teammate.
