An attacker on a break away stops the ball on the goal line, kneels down and taps the ball into the goal with his head. Is this a goal or an unsporting behavior call?

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi Felix
The panel has given their opinion on this and from what I read out on forums etc there are referees who will not allow it. The referee in this Pro game allowed it. In a youth game the referee make take a different view and his decision is final.
As I say to players *dont ask me the question because you might not like the answer*. So for any would be mimics out there who get the opportunity to do this please look at the reaction of the opponents and also consider that the referee may be in the caution / no goal camp.
