Question Number: 30308Law 5 - The Referee 4/17/2016RE: Competitive Under 13 Mike Nelson of River Heights, Utah USA asks...What happens if my player passes the ball and then the ball hits the ref and then the ball goes out of bounds? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Mike The referee is just part of the field of play. As the ball was last played by your player the restart is a throw in, goal kick or a corner kick to your opponents. Referees do their best not to get struck by the ball yet it does happen.
